The Rebel Alliance was formed under the leadership of former Senator Mon Mothma, uniting scattered resistance movements in a common cause to overthrow Palpatine and the tyranny of the Empire.

In 1999 individuals from the Terra System joined the alliance in response to the activities of the 501st Legion of Stormtroopers. For years the 501st had grown and their presence was felt at nearly every science fiction and fantasy convention in the world. A few brave souls banded together and formed the Rebel Legion to ensure that Jedi, Pilots, Royalty, Scoundrels and Wookies would always be able to call Earth Home.

Since that time support for the Rebellion has continuously grown. The Rebel Legion's activities at conventions, parades, charity events, hospital visits, movie premiers and celebrity appearances have helped the ranks grow to over 600 members!

Echo Base is the division of the Rebel Legion covering New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland. There are other bases covering regions all over the world.

Joining the Rebellion is easy. You must be 18 years or older, and must have a screen quality Rebel costume. If you don't have a costume yet you can still join the forums, but you cannot participate in official Rebel Legion events. There are plenty of people in the group who can help out with your costuming goals.
